Do You Know What Is ChatGPT? And Why It Is Trending?

OpenAI launched ChatGPT, a chatbot, in November 2022. It is based on OpenAI’s GPT-3 family of large language models and is tuned using supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.

On November 30, 2022, ChatGPT was launched as a prototype and quickly gained attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge. A significant disadvantage was identified as its uneven factual accuracy. OpenAI was valued at $29 billion after the release of ChatGPT.

Key Notes on the Partnership Between Microsoft & OpenAI are :-

– Proximal Policy Optimization algorithms present a cost-effective benefit to trust region policy optimization algorithms; they negate many of the computationally expensive operations with faster performance. The models were trained in collaboration with Microsoft on their Azure supercomputing infrastructure.

–  Microsoft Bing was planning to add optional ChatGPT functionality into its public search engine, possibly around March 2023.

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT, a chatbot launched by OpenAI in November 2022, is the latest step in the tech industry’s generative artificial intelligence. On Twitter, the AI bot has been trending.

It has an amazing ability to interact in the form of a conversational dialogue and provide responses that can appear surprisingly human.

Who Built ChatGPT?

OpenAI, a San Francisco-based artificial intelligence company, created ChatGPT.

Microsoft has invested $1 billion as a partner and investor. They collaborated to create the Azure AI Platform.

What are the Limitations of ChatGPT?

Limitations on Toxic Response

ChatGPT is specifically programmed not to respond in a toxic or harmful manner. As a result, it will avoid answering such questions.

Quality of Answers Depends on the Quality of Directions

One significant limitation of ChatGPT is that the output quality is dependent on the input quality. In other words, expert instructions (prompts) produce better results.

Answers Are Not Always Correct

Another limitation is that, because it has been trained to provide answers that feel right to humans, the answers may deceive humans into believing that the output is correct.

Many users discovered that ChatGPT can give incorrect answers, some of which are wildly incorrect.

Will Language Models Replace Google Search?

Google has already developed an AI chatbot called LaMDA. Google’s chatbot’s performance was so close to a human conversation that a Google engineer claimed LaMDA was sentient.

In the present or near future, it’s still unrealistic to think that chatbots will replace google search as I had already told you that sometime chatgpt does not provide correct answers which may annoy people who look to google for answer. So this is the biggest limitation while using the chatgpt.

Conclusions

It’s still a long way to think that chatbots or ChatGPT will replace big tech companies in search engines as there is still a lot of work needed in AI.
